Where does Company Belgium data come from?

It comes from the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises, through the open data files that the FPS Economy publishes. The BCE mobile app synchronises with those files every day.

What separates an enterprise number from a VAT number?

Every Belgian enterprise receives a ten-digit enterprise number when it registers with the CBE. Its VAT number reuses that same number with the BE prefix, so Company Belgium accepts both formats.

Does the Company Belgium BCE app cost anything?

No. You download it for free from the App Store or Google Play, with no sign-up and no ads. Your favourites and history stay on your own device.

What is an establishment unit?

An establishment unit is a place where the enterprise carries out its activity, such as a shop, an office or a workshop. It has its own number, separate from the enterprise number, and Company Belgium lists every unit of the same business.

Can I plug this data into my own tools?
